Lee Shiu-hung former director of the department of health passed away on Thursday at the age of 80. Lee retired from the health department back in 1994 after serving the government for 34 years. Lee died of cerebral hemorrhage in the early hours of Thursday.
“It was a loss to the local medical industry and public health sector,” commented Dr Ko Wing-man who is the secretary for food and health. Dr Ko expressed his condolences with the family of Mr Lee.
“Lee Siu-hung made great contributions to establishing the local medical system and promoting health education,” Dr Ko further said
